The Old Tatar Settlement is a one-of-a-kind historical district in Kazan that retains the Tatar city’s original features. On a walking tour, you will learn about the Kazan Tatars’ customs and culture, as well as their national crafts.
Here, you’ll see wooden painted houses, merchant manors, ancient mosques (Al-Marjani and Apanayevskaya), and a picturesque view of the mysterious Kaban Lake. The Old Tatar Settlement is where you can enjoy national cuisine and see examples of Tatar leather shoes and national clothing.
