Admission rules

GENERAL PROVISIONS

  1. The present Rules determine the admission order to the Kazan Kremlin’s territory and its facilities for visitors, the rules of behaviour for visitors within the territory of the Kazan Kremlin, as well as the entry and movement of vehicles within the Kazan Kremlin’s territory.
  2. The Rules are focused on keeping the order and safety when visiting the Kazan Kremlin, improving visitor service, and are mandatory for unconditional execution.
  3. Internal Affairs Bodies of the Russian Federation and the Administration of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve have been entrusted to maintain public order and safety, prevent and suppress offences, control the entry of vehicles into the territory of the Kazan Kremlin, observe traffic patterns and parking rules, ensure access control, and ensure compliance with these Rules on the territory of the Kazan Kremlin within the established powers.

WORKING HOURS

  1. The territory of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve is available for visiting daily:
    through the Spasskaya Gate Tower from January 1 to December 31 — around the clock;
    through the Tainitskaya Tower from October 1 to April 30 — from 6:00 to 20:00, from May 1 to September 30 — from 6:00 to 22:00
  2. Upon decision of administration of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, the entrance to the territory can be realised through the Preobrazhenskaya Tower from May 1 to September 30: from 6:00 to 22:00.
  3. The Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve administration reserves the right to change the established time frame for visiting the Kazan Kremlin based on the number of visitors, time of year, and events held.
  4. When national events are held on the Kazan Kremlin’s territory and facilities, or if other reasons necessitate the creation of conditions for limited access, the Kazan Kremlin’s territory or a portion of it, as well as individual buildings on its territory, may be closed to citizens and vehicles.

TOURS SERVICE AT THE KAZAN KREMLIN’S TERRITORY

  1. The administration of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve provides tours service on the territory of the Kazan Kremlin, at the facilities of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, and at certain exhibitions and expositions, as well as travel companies that have guides in their staff who have passed the appropriate accreditation in the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve (travel organisations operate on a contractual basis in collaboration with the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve).

IT IS PROHIBITED TO ENTER THE TERRITORY OF THE KAZAN KREMLIN MUSEUM-RESERVE AND ITS FACILITIES FOR

  • visitors with weapons,
  • individuals who are intoxicated or in any way violate public order,
  • visitors with piercing and easily breaking objects, flammable, explosive, poisonous, toxic, soiling, and foetid objects and substances,
  • visitors with bulky things (suitcases, travel bags, backpacks, and other similar items, with the exception of strollers) and animals (with the exception of guide dogs accompanying visitors with visual impairment).

VISITORS OF THE KAZAN KREMLIN MUSEUM-RESERVE MUST

  1. Observe the Rules.
  2. Comply with the requirements of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve staff and employees of the Russian Federation’s Department of Internal Affairs to maintain cleanliness and public order.
  3. Move along the established footpaths, be cautious, and adhere to traffic rules.
  4. Supervise minor children with them, control their behaviour, and prevent them from engaging in activities prohibited by these Rules.

VISITORS OF THE KAZAN KREMLIN MUSEUM-RESERVE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO

  • cross fences, enter restricted areas, or enter closed rooms;
  • smoke (including electronic cigarettes), drink alcohol, be intoxicated, or disrupt public order;
  • start fires, use pyrotechnics;
  • ride bicycles, scooters, roller skates, or other similar vehicles and sport equipment;
  • beg or panhandle;
  • enter the pond (fountains) bowls or climb sculptures and architectural elements;
  • make inscriptions, paste up advertisements, posters, and other informational products, as well as to distribute printed materials (unless the placement of such information is coordinated with the administration of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve);
  • hold public events in violation of the requirements established by the existing legislation;
  • conduct trade, distribute tickets, conduct tours, theatrical (costumed) events, or engage in other income-generating activities without permission obtained from the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve (confirmation of the issuance of a permit for paid activities on the Kazan Kremlin’s territory is a duly executed agreement between the interested person and the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve);
  • to conduct any photo shoots (staged, costumed, etc.) without prior agreement with the administration of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, including the use of a mobile phone;
  • use images obtained during photo and video shooting for commercial purposes without the official permission of the administration of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve and the execution of a separate agreement.
  • use audio equipment (with the exception of radio guides) with sound amplification enabled, sing, dance, or play musical instruments;
  • be without clothes or in dirty clothes, as well as with luggage, things that can stain visitors, items of cultural heritage (historical and cultural monuments);
  • destroy greenery;
  • climb walls and structures in places not intended for visitors;
  • pollute and litter the Kazan Kremlin’s territory and facilities, and engage in other actions that could damage the Kazan Kremlin’s cultural heritage;
  • use drones.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR BREAKING THE RULES OF THE KAZAN KREMLIN

  1. Persons who violate the order established by these Rules may be removed from the territory and individual facilities of the Kazan Kremlin by employees of the Russian Federation’s Department of Internal Affairs, and if there are grounds for this, detained and taken to the Department of Internal Affairs under current legislation.
  2. A person who has caused harm and material damage may be held administratively or criminally liable, and they must also compensate for the full extent of the damage. If a person refuses to compensate for the damage caused, the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve administration reserves the right to take legal action.
  3. The Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve administration accepts no responsibility for any damage, accidents, or injuries sustained by visitors as a result of violating or failing to comply with these Admission Rules. The visitor agrees to accept full responsibility for any violation or non-compliance with these Admission Rules.

RULES FOR DRIVING VEHICLES

  1. Vehicle entry is strictly limited to ensure the safety of cultural monuments included in the Kazan Kremlin Ensemble, as well as the safety of visitors on the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve’s grounds.
  2. Official vehicles are permitted to enter the Kazan Kremlin with special passes.
  3. Vehicles used in the repair and reconstruction of buildings on Kazan Kremlin territory, as well as vehicles used by organisations providing janitorial services to buildings and the Kazan Kremlin’s territory, are permitted according to lists (applications).
  4. Vehicles of organisations (individual entrepreneurs) renting premises in the Kazan Kremlin are allowed to enter the territory according to lists (applications) in the morning (from 6:00 to 08:00) and evening (from 18:00 to 21:00).
  5. The speed of vehicles on the territory of the Kazan Kremlin is limited by signs at the entrance.
  6. The heads of organisations providing janitorial services to the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, as well as the heads of organisations renting premises in Kazan Kremlin, are solely responsible for their incoming transport.

The Kazan Kremlin's branded shop is located at the 4th entrance to the building of Prisutstvennye Mesta. Souvenirs, children's and adult books, branded T-shirts and sweatshirts, and candles and diffusers with fragrances designed specifically for the Kazan Kremlin can all be purchased here.

The audioguide is available at the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve's ticket office, which is located in the Spasskaya Tower.

To use the audioguide, you must leave a document (driving license or pension certificate) or a cash deposit in the amount of 2000 ₽ as a pledge.
