The exhibition represents 21 works by students of the School of Crafts and Folk Culture led by Olesya Yeremina, under the guidance of Kazan-based calligraphy artist Vladislav Baranov.
The works on display are diverse in many ways:
Diverse in script: you will find both Cyrillic and Latin lettering styles. Diverse in technique: from the classic combination of “pen and paper” to the unconventional use of “canvas and thread”. Diverse geographically: the authors hail from various regions of Russia and France.
Visitors will discover that letters can be used not only to write texts but also to create paintings: landscapes, animal art, and even architectural scenes.
