The exhibition “Treasures of Yakutia. Kazan – 2025” presents the unique heritage of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) in all its splendour.
A special place in the exhibition is occupied by a unique collection of precious metal and stone nuggets, alongside jewellery and decorative items from the State Fund of Precious Metals and Precious Stones of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), all of which possess historical and artistic value.
One of the central exhibits and a symbol of friendship and cultural exchange between the two republics is a unique diamond weighing 69.87 carats, which was mined in 2020 at the “Yubileinaya” (Jubilee) pipe deposit. This exhibit is being displayed to the public for the first time. It is timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Tatar ASSR.
Furthermore, the exhibition offers an opportunity to explore the rich culture and history of the Sakha people. The exhibition will feature artefacts reflecting the ancient beliefs and mythology of the Yakuts, traditional costumes and jewellery, unique items made from mammoth ivory, silver ornaments, household objects crafted by the best jewellers of Yakutia, as well as the famous Yakut diamonds, brilliants, and nuggets of precious metals.
The Yakutsk State Unified Museum of the History and Culture of the Peoples of the North named after Em. Yaroslavsky presents to visitors a rare and valuable collection of Yakut silver. The items were created by master craftsmen between the 17th and 21st centuries.
The exhibition “Treasures of Yakutia” is not merely a display of art objects, but a complete immersion into the culture and traditions of a distinct people.
