ABOUT MUSEUM

The Annunciation Cathedral History Museum is a structural subdivision of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, located in the basement of the Annunciation Cathedral, and is one of the few museums in the world that are housed in a working church.

The museum’s exhibition represents items, works of art, and documents that depict the brightest pages of the history of the Annunciation Cathedral, Kazan’s oldest monument of Orthodox culture and architecture, from the middle of the 16th century to the present day.

The museum regularly conducts highlights and thematic guided tours, master classes, quests, quizzes, and other cultural and educational programs geared towards all age categories.
