The ticket office closes 15 minutes before the museum’s scheduled closing time
The Cannon Yard Museum is a structural subdivision of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, located in the building that once housed the Artillery Yard’s foundry in the 17th century.
The museum’s exposition is built around a foundry pit discovered during restoration work in the late 1990s. The brickwork from the second half of the 18th century has been preserved in the foundry pit, and the main stages of creating a clay mould for casting cannons as well as vertical moulds for casting have been presented. Highlights tours and thematic guided tours, master classes, quests, quizzes, and other cultural and educational programs geared towards all age categories are regularly conducted in the museum.
