During a country trip, you will visit one of the largest operating monasteries, the Virgin Monastery of Raifa, which was founded in the 17th century, as well as learn about the fascinating history of the town-island of Sviyazhsk, an ancient fortress founded by Ivan the Terrible.  You will see the Bogoroditsky Men’s Monastery, the Cathedral of Our Lady of All Sorrows, the Volga region’s oldest wooden Trinity Church, and the Assumption Monastery, which is UNESCO-listed. The tour includes an external observation of the Temple of All Religions.
