ABOUT MUSEUM

The Museum of History of the Tatar People’s Statehood and the Republic of Tatarstan is a structural subdivision of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, located in the former Palace Church, in the most ancient part of the Kazan Kremlin.

This museum is dedicated to the states that are part of the Tatars’ and their ancestors’ historical past, as well as the period of TASSR and the Republic of Tatarstan today. The exhibition displays a reconstruction of the Kazan khans’ throne, Golden Horde coins, samples of 15th and 16th-century writing executed in Arabic graphics, a fragment of a 16th-century quiver with a winged snake, TASSR’s state awards, and other exhibits.

The museum regularly conducts highlights and thematic guided tours, master classes, quests, quizzes, and other cultural and educational programs geared towards all age categories.
