The Spasskaya Tower Museum is dedicated to the fortification of the Kazan Kremlin and the Spasskaya Tower through various historical stages. It describes what the fortress looked like at different points in time, beginning with Volga Bulgaria and ending with the present.
The exhibition is divided into sections that explain the history of the Kazan Kremlin’s walls and towers, as well as the changes that have occurred to them. It also displays construction materials and weaponry, without which the fortress’s history cannot be imagined.
The Spasskaya Tower is the centrepiece of the exhibition. The exhibition demonstrates how it changed, how the tiers were completed, and when the famous clock and star appeared.
