The audio guide to the exhibition ‘Muslim Civilisation of the Volga Region’ is designed for all those who wish to explore the history of the arrival of Islam in the Volga region during the periods of Volga Bulgaria, the Golden Horde and the Kazan Khanate. Visitors will be able to learn more about the Quran, hear about the main festivals in the Muslim world and the traditions of the Tatar people, and explore the development of the sciences and many other fascinating facts. The tour is open to all visitors and is offered as a drop‑in tour.

The Museum of Islamic Culture is located on the basement floor of the Kul Sharif Mosque, which stands on the grounds of the Kazan Kremlin. The museum’s display occupies two halls with a total area of 566 square metres. It is the only museum in Russia devoted to the history and culture of Islam among the Turkic‑Tatar peoples of the Volga region and the Cis‑Ural region.
