The Spasskaya Tower Museum is dedicated to the fortification of the Kazan Kremlin and to the Spasskaya Tower itself at different historical stages. It tells the story of the fortress at various periods, from Volga Bulgaria to the present day.
The display consists of several sections and introduces visitors to the history of the walls and towers of the Kazan Kremlin, as well as the changes they have undergone. It also presents building materials and weaponry, without which the history of the fortress cannot be fully understood.
An important part of the display is the history of the Spasskaya Tower itself. It shows how the tower changed, how additional tiers were built, and when the famous clock and star appeared.
